Herefordshire - SP - Children with Disability Team
Herefordshire Council is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Practitioner to join their Children with Disabilities Team.
Location :- Plough Lane, Hereford, Herefordshire, HR4 0LE
Payrate :-£33.30 Per hour (Umbrella) + Up to £150 per week accommodation allowanced
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and supervision to Social Workers and other staff within the Children with Disabilities (CWD) team.
- Work closely with partner agencies to ensure collaborative and effective service delivery.
- Complete assessments across the child's journey, including short break assessments, child protection, and court work.
- Ensure consistency in social workers to foster a relationship-based model of practice.
- Lead and support the team to ensure high-quality practice and outcomes for children and families.
- Manage a complex caseload with a focus on improving the lives of children and families within Herefordshire.
- Use honed skills in assessment, report writing, and case management to ensure best practice in statutory social care.
- Contribute to the Restorative Journey of Improvement within the Directorate.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
