Join our dedicated team in Barnsley as a Senior Qualified Social Worker (QSW) within the Locality Team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality social work services to children and families in our community. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
  • Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely case records in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Engaging with multi-agency partners to promote effective service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on building positive relationships.
