Herefordshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult Safeguarding Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults in our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to assess needs, develop care plans, and implement safeguarding procedures that prioritize the rights and dignity of individuals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of adults at risk, ensuring that their voices are heard and respected.
  • Developing and implementing safeguarding plans in partnership with service users, families, and other professionals.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency teams to promote best practices in safeguarding and welfare.
  • Providing support and guidance to colleagues and community partners regarding safeguarding issues.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with local policies and statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in adult safeguarding and knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
