An exciting locum opportunity has become available for a qualified Social Worker to join the Children and Young People's Services Locality Team at Nottingham City Council. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact while working within a supportive and forward-thinking service.


📝 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of children and families within the Locality Team
  • Undertake assessments, care planning, and safeguarding interventions
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children
  • Produce high-quality case recordings and reports
  • Attend and contribute to strategy meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings
  • Ensure all work is compliant with statutory guidance and safeguarding legislation

✅ Essential Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience within Children's Services
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation
  • Ability to manage complex cases and make sound professional decisions
