Eden Brown Synergy is currently looking for an experienced & committed Social Worker on Nottingham City Council, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a well-established Children with Disability Team.

Payrate: £36 p/h Umb

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Holding a caseload of Children in Need under Section 17 and children subject to Child Protection Plans
  • Undertaking Initial Assessments under Section 17
  • Undertaking Core Assessments under Section 17
  • Undertaking Core Assessments under Section 47
  • Undertaking Child Protection Enquiries under Section 47
  • Undertaking Parenting Assessments
  • Undertaking Risk Assessments
  • Undertaking Educational Needs Assessments
  • Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes/ to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children
  • Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children'/ young people's needs
  • Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
  • Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
  • Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
  • Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
  • Reviewing Financial payments received by kinship carers/ or carers granted Residence Orders/Special Guardianship Orders
  • Organising/managing packages of support
  • Organising/managing packages of care
  • Arranging short breaks
  • Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need
  • Attending court and giving evidence when required
  • Initiating Care Proceedings
  • Completion of Care Proceedings
