Eden Brown are seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle - Heavy Vehicle Lecturer for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Heavy Vehicle professional to inspire and develop the next generation of technicians and engineers within a modern Further Education environment.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair programmes, supporting learners to develop the technical knowledge, practical skills and behaviours required by employers in the automotive and transport sectors.

Whether you are an experienced lecturer or an industry professional looking to move into education, we would welcome your application. Full teacher training and support may be available for candidates who do not yet hold a teaching qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver engaging and effective teaching across Heavy Vehicle qualifications, apprenticeships and commercial programmes.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with awarding body requirements.
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety within workshop environments.
- Develop learning resources and practical activities that reflect current industry practices.
- Support student recruitment, retention, achievement and progression.
- Work closely with employers and industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance.
- Contribute to quality improvement activities and departmental development.

About You

You will have:

- Significant industry experience within Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- A relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Engineering, Maintenance or a related discipline.
- Current technical knowledge of heavy vehicle systems, diagnostics and repair techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding learner outcomes.
