Social Worker - Community Adult Team
Blackpool Council
£30.66 per hour
Contract end date: 13/07/2026 (extension requested)

Blackpool Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker (Adults) to join the Community Adult Team.

The role focuses on supporting adults to identify needs, maximise independence, and prevent future escalation of support through strengths-based practice.

Key responsibilities:

Work with adults to assess needs and develop support plans
Promote independence using strengths-based and preventative approaches
Work with community, voluntary, and commissioned services
Apply relevant adult social care legislation in practice
Undertake complex decision-making and problem solving
Manage a community-based caseload

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration
Experience in Adult Social Care
Strong knowledge of legislative frameworks
Confident autonomous practitioner with good communication skills

Working pattern:

Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days in the office
Access to parking support for visits and office attendance
