Children's SW - Complex Safeguarding Team - Manchester
Join our dedicated Complex Safeguarding Team in Manchester as a Children’s Social Worker. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and their families. You will work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to assess needs, develop intervention plans, and provide support to children and families facing complex safeguarding issues.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children’s needs and risks.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing child protection plans.
- Providing direct support and intervention to children and families.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records in compliance with safeguarding policies.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to case discussions.
- Staying informed about local and national safeguarding legislation and best practices.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a varied caseload.
