Qualified Social Worker - Assessment & Intervention Team

Pay Rate: £38.00-£40.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: B69 3DL, Sandwell

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Assessment & Intervention Team at Sandwell Children's Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic frontline service, working with children and families to assess need, manage risk and deliver timely interventions. You will undertake statutory assessments, manage Child in Need and Child Protection cases, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.

You will be responsible for completing Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries, developing child-centred plans, carrying out direct work with children and families, and ensuring interventions are delivered in accordance with statutory guidance and local procedures.

Key Skills Required:

  • Experience within Assessment, Duty & Assessment, Child Protection, Child in Need or Safeguarding Teams
  • Strong safeguarding, assessment and risk management skills
  • Experience managing complex caseloads and completing statutory assessments
  • Knowledge of Section 17 and Section 47 processes
  • Excellent communication, report writing and multi-agency working skills
  • Social Work England registration required

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Previous experience within Children's Services
  • Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
