Pay Rate: £38.00-£40.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: B69 3DL, Sandwell
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the CP & Court Team at Sandwell Children's Trust.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy frontline team, working with children and families to ensure their safety and wellbeing through effective assessment, intervention and court work. You will manage a varied caseload, undertake statutory assessments, complete Child Protection investigations, prepare court reports and work closely with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children.
You will be responsible for undertaking Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries, initiating care proceedings where required, preparing high-quality court statements and ensuring all interventions are delivered in line with statutory guidance and best practice.
Key Skills Required:
- Experience within Child Protection, Court or Safeguarding Teams
- Strong safeguarding, assessment and risk management skills
- Experience preparing court statements and managing court proceedings
- Knowledge of Section 17, Section 47 and Public Law Outline (PLO) processes
- Excellent communication, report writing and multi-agency working skills
- Social Work England registration required
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- Registered with Social Work England
- Previous experience within Children's Services
- Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
