Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Advice & Guidance Team at Manchester City Council.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy frontline service, where you will play a vital role in providing advice, guidance and effective decision-making for children and families. You will work within a fast-paced environment, screening referrals, assessing levels of risk and need, and ensuring children receive the right support at the earliest opportunity.

Working closely with partner agencies, you will contribute to safeguarding children by making informed threshold decisions, coordinating appropriate interventions and promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.

Key Skills Required:

  • Previous experience within Advice & Guidance, MASH, Duty & Assessment, Front Door or Children's Services
  • Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and threshold decision-making
  • Experience screening referrals, undertaking risk assessments and managing safeguarding concerns
  • Excellent assessment, analytical and report writing skills
  • Strong communication and multi-agency partnership working abilities
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced workload while maintaining high standards of practice
  • Social Work England registration required

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Previous experience within Children's Services
  • Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
