Subject Access officer -QSW - Durham

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Subject Access Officer - Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Durham. As a Subject Access Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations, particularly in relation to subject access requests.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Processing subject access requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Reviewing and redacting sensitive information to ensure data protection and confidentiality
  • Acting as a point of contact for individuals making subject access requests
  • Providing support and guidance to colleagues on data protection matters
  • Collaborating with the legal team to address any complex or high-risk cases

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with a valid registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrable experience in handling subject access requests and data protection compliance
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including GDPR and Data Protection Act
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively
