We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Front Door Team in Bradford. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the initial contacts and referrals made to children's social care services.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting initial assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks
  • Providing immediate support and interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of children
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to coordinate services and support for families
  • Making decisions on the most appropriate course of action, including child protection measures if necessary
  • Completing and maintaining accurate records and reports in line with departmental policies

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

  • A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Experience working within children's social care services, preferably in a front door or duty team
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills to effectively evaluate risks and needs of children and families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in challenging situations
