Qualified Social Worker (QSW) - Adults Team | Wokingham Borough Council | £38.97/hr

Working Arrangement: Hybrid - Office day required on Tuesdays
Contract: Ongoing Locum

Overview:
Wokingham Borough Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join their Adults Team. This is a hybrid role, focused on funding assessments, partnership working, and contributing to service-wide improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
Investigate referred cases and assess eligibility for health funding, including Continuing Healthcare (CHC), Section 117, and other frameworks.

Make clear recommendations on funding eligibility and propose funding splits within established policies.

Carry out complex assessments in collaboration with clinicians and care professionals.

Support the Team Manager in operational delivery and team performance oversight.

Assist in the design and delivery of training for council teams and occasionally NHS/health partners on CHC, S117, and other adult and children's funding streams.

Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

Extensive experience in adult social care and health funding assessments

Strong understanding of CHC, S117, and relevant funding legislation

Able to work collaboratively across services and disciplines

Excellent written, analytical, and communication skills
