Northamptonshire - QSW - Kinship/SGO/Initial Viabilities Assessments
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Northamptonshire. In this role, you will primarily focus on conducting Kinship, Special Guardianship Order (SGO), and Initial Viabilities Assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting thorough assessments to determine the suitability of kinship carers or potential special guardians.
- Providing support and guidance to families throughout the assessment process.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies to safeguard children.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting Kinship, SGO, and Initial Viabilities Assessments within a social work setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates with experience in court proceedings related to kinship care and SGOs will be highly regarded.
