Children's Team Manager- Adolescent Safeguarding - Dudley

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to lead a dynamic Adolescent Safeguarding team within Dudley Council's Children's Services. This is a vital role focused on safeguarding vulnerable adolescents and ensuring high-quality statutory social care services are delivered in line with legislation and local policy.

As Team Manager, you will provide strong operational leadership and direction to a team of Social Workers, ASYEs, Trainee Social Workers and Young Person's Advisors. You will ensure effective workload management, drive quality practice, and work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Adolescent Safeguarding Team to deliver responsive and effective social work services.
* Make complex decisions around child safeguarding and care planning.
* Allocate work effectively and monitor statutory timescales and outcomes.
* Supervise and support staff development, including appraisals, training, and performance reviews.
* Promote inter-agency collaboration and represent the service at planning meetings, conferences, and strategy discussions.
* Manage delegated budgets, ensuring best value and compliance with council regulations.
* Oversee quality assurance through regular case audits and performance monitoring.
* Promote and embed the council's commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding.

Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker (Registered or eligible for registration with Social Work England).
* Significant post-qualifying experience in children's social care, including supervisory or management responsibility.
* Demonstrated experience in leading teams, managing performance, and delivering service improvements.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, care planning processes, and statutory frameworks.
* Ability to work strategically, motivate teams, and maintain high-quality standards in complex environments.
* Car driver with access to a vehicle, business use insurance, and a valid MOT certificate (if applicable).
