Social worker - Kinship Assessment - Exeter, Devon
Qualified Social Workers required for work within the Kinship Assessment team in Devon in Exeter . This is an exciting opportunity with excellent rates of pay in a Children Kinship Care Team. Pay rate up to £38.00ph. 3 month contract but will be ongoing. South Devon is a beautiful rural area with gorgeous beaches. Office can be based between Exeter and East
Social Workers need to be available to cover their allocations and visit children as necessary to meet service needs. There may be occasions when home-working will be permitted which can be discussed at interview.
The service is responsible for the assessment of connected carers, both as foster carers and special guardians. This is a challenging and rewarding role which involves the preparation of assessments for both Court and Fostering Panels and supporting cares who are granted with Special Guardianship Orders who reside in Devon, as well as those where Devon was the responsible authority and who live elsewhere.
This is an exciting time to join the team which is expanding due the increase of children being cared for within their family network.
You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
