Birmingham Children's Trust is looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager for their Children Assessment Safeguarding Team.

Location:- Lifford House, 45 Fordhouse Lane, B30 3BN

Payrate:- £41.42 per hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Holding a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and Children in Need
  • Undertaking Initial Assessments
  • Undertaking Core Assessments
  • Undertaking Child Protection Enquiries
  • Undertaking Pre-Birth Assessments
  • Undertaking Parenting Assessments
  • Undertaking assessments
  • Undertaking Risk Assessments
  • Completion of Section 7 reports requested by Family Courts
  • Completion of Section 37 reports requested by Family Courts
  • Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need
  • Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes/ to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children
  • Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young people's needs
  • Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
  • Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
  • Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
  • Initiating Care Proceedings
  • Completion of Care Proceedings
  • Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
  • Organising/managing packages of care
  • Preparing and presenting case conference reports
  • Completing/reviewing/implementing CIN plans
  • Chairing Children in Need meetings
  • Attending court and giving evidence when required

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
