About the Role

Eden Brown Synergy is recruiting an experienced Family Court Adviser to join Cafcass in Stevenage. This agency role is ideal for qualified social workers with experience in children's services, Public Law, and Private Law court proceedings.

As a Family Court Adviser, you will manage a caseload, conduct assessments, and provide reports to the family courts, ensuring the child's voice is central. You will work closely with social workers, legal professionals, local authorities, and other agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct safeguarding assessments and prepare Section 7 and Section 37 reports
  • Manage cases in Private Law and Public Law proceedings
  • Represent Cafcass in court and provide evidence-based recommendations
  • Collaborate with local authorities, lawyers, and social work teams
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure statutory compliance

Essential Requirements

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience in children's social work
  • Experience in Private Law and Public Law court cases
  • Social Work England registration
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
