Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Team Manager in Duty Team in Wigan Council.

Rate: £42 per hour (Umbrella)

Location: College Avenue, Wigan, Greater Manchester, WN1 1NJ, United Kingdom

Duties and Responsibilities:

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage a Duty Team within a fast-paced Duty & Assessment Service, ensuring effective and timely service delivery
  • Oversee and support social workers in handling complex and high-risk cases, maintaining high safeguarding standards
  • Ensure timely completion of Children and Family assessments and appropriate case progression
  • Manage key case transfer points including initial child protection conferences, first CLA reviews, first PLO meetings, and third Child in Need meetings
  • Drive and embed good social work practice across the team, promoting quality and consistency
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to staff, fostering professional development and reflective practice
  • Ensure compliance with legislative frameworks, statutory requirements, and legal proceedings
  • Promote strengths-based practice, empowering children and families to achieve positive outcomes
  • Work in partnership with children, young people, families, and multi-agency professionals
  • Contribute to a positive team culture, encouraging innovation, accountability, and high performance
  • Support service improvement and contribute to achieving the council's vision for children and families

Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
