St. Helens - QSW - Duty Team
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Duty Team at St. Helens Council.
Pay Rate: £35.37 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: WA9 1LD, St. Helens
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Duty Team, working at the front door of Children's Services to ensure children and families receive the right support at the right time. You will be responsible for screening referrals, undertaking statutory assessments, managing safeguarding concerns and making informed threshold decisions in line with statutory guidance.
You will manage a varied caseload, complete Child in Need and Child Protection work, undertake Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
Key Skills Required:
* Experience within Duty, Assessment, Child Protection or Safeguarding Teams
* Strong knowledge of Section 17 and Section 47 processes
* Experience completing statutory assessments and managing complex caseloads
* Excellent safeguarding, risk assessment and decision-making skills
* Strong communication, report writing and multi-agency working abilities
* Social Work England registration required
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Registered with Social Work England
* Previous experience within Children's Services
* Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
