We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) specializing in Fostering to join our dynamic team in Gloucestershire. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and foster carers to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children in care. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, while providing emotional support and guidance to foster families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and their families to identify needs and develop tailored support plans.
- Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster carers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to care for children.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including education, health, and mental health professionals, to facilitate holistic support for children.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local authority policies and procedures.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required to advocate for the best interests of the children.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in fostering or child protection services is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
