- Conducting thorough assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
- Implementing and reviewing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Providing support and intervention to families to prevent the need for children entering care.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
- Attending court hearings and representing the local authority when necessary.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in children’s services, particularly in assessment and intervention.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a caseload independently.
