Bolton - Practice Improvement Officer -
Bolton Council is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Practice Improvement Officer to join their highly supportive and dynamic Team.
Location: Castleton Street, Tonge Moor
Pay Rate: £40.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide and share learning materials based on themes and practice issues arising from quality assurance activity to improve services for children and families in Bolton.
- Support in the development and delivery of Bolton's career entry and career progression pathways through bespoke programmes such as apprenticeships, Frontline, and Greater Manchester's Return to Social Work programmes.
- Collaborate with children and families to understand quality of practice.
- Contribute and engage the workforce in the continuous development of our learning culture, specifically around ensuring quality assurance activity influences practice.
- Support in the design and delivery of responsive training and learning activity including delivery of training across the workforce.
- Provide coaching to practitioners to enable them to understand audit findings and improve as well develop practice.
- Remain up to date and compliant with all relevant legislation and adhere to organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct to uphold a high-quality seamless service alongside identifying own continuing professional development needs and strive to meet these.
- Influence practice standards and training to meet service need.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
