πΌ Role Overview - Supervising Social Worker (Fostering)
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of foster carers, ensuring they are supported, supervised, and empowered to provide high-quality care.
You will play a key role in ensuring children are placed in safe, stable environments, while maintaining strong relationships with carers, children, and partner services.
β Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a caseload of approved foster carers
- Provide ongoing guidance, training, and professional supervision
- Work within the Duty system, supporting placements in collaboration with the Placements Team
- Undertake assessments to understand the needs of children and families
- Visit children and foster families to provide support and monitor placements
- Carry out targeted interventions to address specific needs or challenges
- Review and evaluate support plans to ensure positive outcomes
- Engage in direct work with children and families to build strong relationships
- Complete accurate case recordings and reports in line with statutory requirements
- Undertake any additional duties to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
π― Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experience working within Fostering / Children's Services
- Strong assessment, safeguarding, and relationship-building skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
