About the Role
This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated Kinship Assessment Team, supporting children and families through high-quality assessments and care planning within a supportive local authority setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking kinship care assessments in line with statutory guidance
- Managing a complex caseload of children and families
- Working closely with multi-agency partners to ensure safeguarding is maintained
- Completing robust, analytical assessments and reports for court and panels
- Contributing to permanence planning and best practice outcomes
Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes
- Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers
- Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills
