We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Help & Prevention/Youth Justice Service (YJS) Team in Bradford. This role is critical in supporting vulnerable children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting positive outcomes. You will be responsible for leading assessments, developing intervention plans, and providing guidance to junior staff members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention strategies tailored to individual cases.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure holistic support for children and families.
  • Providing supervision and mentoring to junior social workers and support staff.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Extensive experience in social work, particularly within children’s services or youth justice.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and professionals.
