Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Kinship Fostering Team at Shropshire Council.

Pay Rate: £28.55 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: SY2 6ND, Shropshire

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated Kinship Fostering Team, supporting children and young people to remain within their family networks wherever possible. You will play a key role in completing kinship assessments, viability assessments and supporting placement stability for children within connected carers.

You will work closely with children, families and carers to ensure safe and appropriate placements, while promoting positive outcomes and maintaining strong safeguarding practice. This role requires a child-centred and strengths-based approach, alongside effective multi-agency working.

Key Skills Required:

* Experience within Fostering or Kinship Care services
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning and assessment processes
* Ability to complete viability and kinship assessments
* Experience working with children, families and foster carers
* Strong communication, assessment and decision-making skills
* Social Work England registration required

Essential Requirements:

* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Registered with Social Work England
* Previous experience within Children's Services, ideally fostering or kinship
* Strong understanding of statutory safeguarding frameworks
