We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Manchester - CP Chair / Safeguarding Review Officer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis, offering £40 per hour Umbrella. As a key member of our team, you will oversee Child Protection conferences and safeguarding reviews, ensuring that the voices of children and families are heard and considered in all decisions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Chairing Child Protection conferences and safeguarding meetings, facilitating discussions and ensuring that all relevant information is shared.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of safeguarding cases, identifying patterns, and making recommendations for improvements in practice and policy.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to develop and implement effective safeguarding strategies.
  • Providing guidance and support to social workers and other professionals involved in safeguarding processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with national and local safeguarding policies and procedures.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding within a social work context.
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills, with the ability to manage complex discussions and differing viewpoints.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively with families and professionals.
