Manchester -CP chair / Safeguarding Review Officer
Manchester City Council for an experienced and dedicated CP Chair / Safeguarding Review Officer to join their team.
Location: Moss Side District Office, 27 Bold Street, Manchester
Rate: £40.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:
- Chair and oversee Child Protection Conferences to ensure robust safeguarding plans are in place.
- Review and monitor the progress of Child Protection Plans, ensuring timely actions and improved outcomes for children.
- Work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency professionals to shape and influence future care plans.
- Provide independent oversight and challenge to ensure safeguarding practices meet statutory requirements and best practice standards.
- Advocate for the voice of the child, ensuring their needs and welfare remain central to all planning and decision-making.
- Promote strong partnership working across agencies to deliver effective safeguarding interventions.
- Support continuous improvement in safeguarding practice and contribute to service development.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
