Nottingham City Council is Looking for Team Manager for their Child in Care Team.

Payrate: -£42.03 p/h Umbrella

Location: - Loxley House, NG2 3NG

Hybrid Working: 3 days in the office, 3 days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the Child in Care Team, ensuring high standards of practice and providing ongoing staff development.
  • Chair key meetings, such as Strategy Discussions and Stability Meetings, to ensure children's safety and well-being are consistently prioritized.
  • Make sure that children's voices are central to all decision-making, creating child-centered plans that meet their needs and drive positive outcomes.
  • Oversee the progression of children's care plans and permanence decisions, ensuring timely action and effective support.
  • Manage the duty system, ensuring a responsive and efficient service is available to children and families.
  • Lead quality assurance and auditing activities to ensure compliance with relevant standards and continuous improvement.
  • Foster an environment of high support and challenge for staff, promoting professional growth while maintaining a well-ordered and calm workplace.

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
