Solihull - Sr. QSW - Separated Children & Young People Service Team
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is currently seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Children and Young People Service team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a well-established local authority.
Location: Chelmunds Place
Pay Rate: £30.57 per hour (Umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality social work support to vulnerable separated children and young people, promoting their welfare and positive life outcomes.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, partner agencies, and multidisciplinary professionals.
- Promote integrated and needs-led service delivery to improve outcomes for separated children.
- Undertake assessments in line with the Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families.
- Develop, review, and update individual care/support plans based on regular assessments and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date manual and electronic case records in line with Directorate policies.
- Prepare detailed reports for statutory reviews, child protection conferences, panels, and court proceedings.
- Fulfil all statutory duties related to allocated casework.
- Work in accordance with Social Work England standards and the Professional Capabilities Framework.
- Participate actively in supervision, performance reviews, and professional development.
- Conduct Age Assessments (desirable/advantageous).
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
