Join our dedicated team as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) in the Joint Child Protection Investigation Team based in Hertfordshire. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. You will work collaboratively with various agencies to conduct thorough investigations, providing support and intervention to those in need while adhering to best practices and legal requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting joint investigations with police and other agencies to assess risk and safeguard children.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Providing support, advice, and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in child protection, safeguarding, or related fields.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
