About the Role

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting frontline social work practice, managing complex cases, providing professional guidance to colleagues, and ensuring positive outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex caseload involving safeguarding and child protection.
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, and support to social workers within the team.
  • Complete high-quality assessments and develop effective care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children.
  • Ensure practice complies with statutory legislation, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration.
  • Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes.
  • Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.
