🚨 Senior Qualified Social Worker - Children in Care Team - Rotherham
Location: Rotherham (S60 1AE)
Contract: Ongoing Agency Contract
Are you an experienced Senior Qualified Social Worker looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting for a Children in Care Team within a well-established local authority in Rotherham Council.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team, make a real difference in the lives of children and young people, and contribute to developing best practice within Children's Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a complex caseload of children in care.
- Complete high-quality assessments, care planning, and statutory visits.
- Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and partner agencies.
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed effectively.
- Support, mentor, and provide guidance to less experienced social workers where required.
- Prepare reports and attend court proceedings when necessary.
Requirements
- Social Work England registration.
- Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes.
- Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.
