We are currently seeking an experienced Team Manager - Locality Team to join a well-established Children's Services team in Rotherham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social care professional to lead and support a dedicated team, ensuring high-quality practice and positive outcomes for children and families.

About the Role

As a Team Manager within the Locality Team, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership, supervision, and support to social workers while ensuring strong safeguarding practice and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and management within the Locality Team.
  • Support, supervise, and mentor social workers to deliver high-quality services.
  • Ensure robust safeguarding and child protection practices are maintained.
  • Oversee assessments, care planning, and case management processes.
  • Promote best practice and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration.
  • Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes.
  • Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.
