Social Worker - Children in care & LAC Team - Birmingham

We are currently seeking an experienced Social worker to join the Children in Care (LAC/CIC) service for Birmingham Children's Trust.

Roles & Responsibilities
* Holding a caseload of Looked after Children
* Undertaking Core Assessments
* Undertaking Child Protection Enquiries
* Undertaking Viability Assessments
* Undertaking Kinship Assessments
* Undertaking Risk Assessments
* Producing Annex B reports
* Undertaking Regulation 38 Assessments
* Undertaking Special Guardian Assessments
* Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young peoples needs
* Preparing & implementing Care Plans
* Attending court and giving evidence when required
* Obtaining Interim Care Orders/Interim Supervision Orders
* Initiating Care Proceedings
* Completion of Care Proceedings
* Obtaining Special Guardianship Orders
* Producing Child Permanency Reports

Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
