Working Arrangement: Hybrid (minimum 3 days office-based)

About the Role

Cheshire East Council is seeking an experienced and committed Team Manager to join the Children with Disabilities Hub. This is a key role providing operational oversight, leadership, and service development within a specialist team supporting children with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage up to 6 Family Support Workers who support children with disabilities with package-based interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with another Team Manager, who oversees the Social Workers managing CIN, CP, and Care Proceedings cases.
  • Provide cover and support in the absence of the co-manager, ensuring continuity of service.
  • Report directly to the Service Manager for the Children with Disabilities Service.
  • Oversee operational case management, quality assurance, and team performance.
  • Drive the continued development of the Disabilities Hub, working in partnership with parents, carers, and multi-agency professionals.

What We're Looking For:

  • A passionate and skilled leader with proven experience managing services for children with disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of restorative practice and trauma-informed, relationship-based approaches.
  • Capable of driving best practice and delivering high-quality support services in a multi-agency context.
  • Confident in managing staff performance, risk, and quality assurance across a complex case load.
  • Able to work flexibly across Crewe and Macclesfield, with hybrid work options available (3 office days minimum).
