We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth and Family Support Worker to join our team in Haringey. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing vital support to young people and their families in need.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Provide direct support and guidance to young people and their families to address various social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers, teachers, and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Advocate for the rights and well-being of young people and their families within the community and with relevant authorities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of clients, adjusting interventions as needed to achieve positive outcomes.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker (QSW) status with relevant experience in youth and family support.
  • Strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and social welfare systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Empathy, patience, and resilience to navigate challenging situations and provide support with a non-judgmental approach.
