We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Wiltshire. In this role, you will play a crucial part in protecting and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and families within the community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the level of risk and provide appropriate interventions
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and relevant professionals
- Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required
- Providing support and guidance to families to enable them to make positive changes and improve their circumstances
- Working closely with partner agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England
- Demonstrated experience in working within a safeguarding or child protection setting
- Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with service users and stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
