We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our team in Wigan as a DTM (Designated Team Manager) in the MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) team. Key responsibilities and duties for this role include:

  • Managing a team of social workers and support staff in the MASH team
  • Overseeing the assessment and investigation of child protection concerns

  • Participating in case conferences and court proceedings as required

The essential qualifications and skills required for this position are:

  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration
  • Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding work
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities

In addition to the essential requirements, it is desirable for candidates to have experience working in a MASH setting and a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and procedures. The hourly rate for this position is £40 per hour, offering competitive remuneration for the right candidate.
