Agency Team Manager - Children in Care Service

Rate: £42 per hour
Contract: 3 Months (with possible extension)

Are you a motivated and experienced leader with a passion for improving outcomes for children in care? Nottingham City Council is seeking a skilled Agency Team Manager to join their Children in Care Service during a crucial period of preparation for an upcoming Ofsted inspection.

  • A strong track record in children's social care

  • Experience with service improvement and Ofsted preparation

  • Proven leadership skills to support and guide social work teams

  • A focus on quality assurance, performance, and data-led decisions

  • Ability to build effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

In This Role, You Will:

  • Lead and manage a team of dedicated social workers

  • Drive the improvement agenda focused on quality and compliance

  • Shape service delivery and support inspection readiness

  • Promote a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England

  • Significant management experience in children's services

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and statutory responsibilities

  • Experience leading teams through Ofsted or service transformation
