We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Mental Health team in Darlington. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to adults experiencing mental health issues. You will work collaboratively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to assess needs, develop care plans, and facilitate access to appropriate resources and support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals’ mental health needs and social circumstances.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with service users and other professionals.
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to individuals and their families.
  • Advocating for service users to ensure they receive appropriate services and support.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings to promote integrated care and support.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within adult mental health services.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
