Leicester City Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Single Assessment Team on a hybrid basis, working 2 days in the office and 3 days remotely. Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families, ensuring that all interventions are child-centered.
- Working closely with other professionals and agencies to promote the well-being and safety of children.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local policies and procedures.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in children’s social work, particularly in assessment and intervention.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
