Oldham - Adults Advanced Pract - MH £32PH
Oldham Council is seeking an experienced and dynamic Advanced Practitioner to join the Adult Mental Health Team. This is a key role supporting complex casework, delivering high-quality interventions, and contributing to service development.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee complex mental health cases in line with Care Act and Mental Health Act frameworks
Support and supervise social workers and contribute to reflective practice
Lead on safeguarding enquiries, mental capacity assessments, and best interest decisions
Work collaboratively with health partners, families, and service users to ensure effective care planning
Provide professional advice and contribute to team development
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration
Significant post-qualifying experience in adult mental health
Experience in leading complex cases and safeguarding
Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Health Act, and MCA
AMHP qualification (desirable but not essential)
