Oldham Council is seeking a skilled Adults Advanced Practitioner to join our Adult Social Care (ASC) service on a peripatetic basis.

Key Responsibilities:
Initially based within the Adults Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), leading on the screening of safeguarding referrals.

May be deployed across other ASC teams as required, providing expert input into complex cases and ensuring high standards of professional practice.

Undertake complex Care Act assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and risk management planning.

Support team development and provide mentoring or practice guidance to less experienced staff.

Essential Requirements:
Social Work England registration.

Significant experience in complex adult social care work, including Care Act assessments and safeguarding investigations.

Proven ability to work autonomously and flexibly across a range of service areas.

Strong communication, critical thinking, and case management skills.

About the Role:
This is a peripatetic role, offering a unique opportunity to work across various functions within Adult Social Care, responding to service demands and supporting high-risk or complex casework.

Initially, you will be embedded in the MASH team, ensuring timely and effective triage and response to safeguarding concerns.
