We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection/Court Team in Nottingham. In this role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding children and supporting families, working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children and young people. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to child welfare and a proven ability to navigate complex cases within a court setting.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing child protection plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Preparing and presenting evidence in court, as well as attending court hearings as required.
  • Working closely with other professionals, including health, education, and law enforcement, to provide integrated support.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a child protection or court team setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in child welfare.
