Independent Form F Assessor - Cardiff

Social Worker required for work within Cardiff Council in the Wales Cardiff area completing Form F assessments. Pay per assessment - £2250. Assessments are available countywide. 3 months initial contract, 37 hours per week-NO condensed hrs ie 37 in 4 days not allowed BUT will look at part time 18.5 upwards. Team meetings are once a month. Extremely flexible hybrid working.

The appointed Social Worker will be part of the fostering team as an Independent Form F Assessor. Experience of working with foster carers as professional colleagues and working in a multi - disciplinary arena are essential.

Social Worker will be under the line management and general supervision of the Team Manager and must have the following skills:

·Ability to communicate effectively and comfortably with children and adults whilst getting to the truth will be matched with your ability to show respect and consideration to prospective carers whilst undertaking this vital and sensitive work.
·Only people who can plan, organize and manage a caseload, keep appropriate and accurate case records and deliver against tight deadlines
·Fluent, accurate, concise, and objective reports, which are consistent with statutory guidance and Pathway Care procedures, are a pre-requisite
·You will need to be competent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues in the Regional Support centre and with other professionals

Ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
