Eden Brown Synergy are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to join the Independent Living Service at Gateshead Council.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive service focused on rehabilitation, enablement, specialist equipment, and housing adaptations to support individuals in maintaining independence within the community.

Key Requirements:
* BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
* HCPC and BAOT registered
* Current UK driving licence or suitable mobility support
* Knowledge of Adult Social Care and Housing legislation
* Understanding of specialist equipment and adaptation legislation
* Experience working in health or social care settings
* Experience working with both children and adults
* Strong communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills
* Good IT skills and understanding of rehabilitation and enablement

Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out assessments to support independence and safe living
* Recommend specialist equipment and adaptations
* Work collaboratively with service users, families, and partner agencies
* Support rehabilitation and enablement outcomes
* Maintain accurate case recordings and documentation
