About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Independent Living Service at North Lincolnshire Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in enhancing people's wellbeing and supporting individuals to live independently within their communities.

Overall Purpose of the Role

Working as part of the Independent Living Service, you will ensure the effective delivery of services that enhance people's wellbeing. You will provide practical advice, guidance, and solutions to enable individuals to live full, satisfying, and independent lives.

You will also be expected to work flexibly and undertake duties aligned with the overall nature and responsibility level of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred support in line with local thresholds, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions
  • Promote the Independent Living Service, including contributing to staff development and training
  • Maintain and apply evidence-based practice within Therapy Services
  • Provide professional leadership, coaching, and mentoring to colleagues and stakeholders
  • Monitor and develop competencies of low-level prescribers
  • Support budget management and identify/report service risks
  • Work collaboratively within the Disabled Facilities Grant process
  • Provide expert advice on moving and handling
  • Design and deliver training tailored to different audiences

Requirements

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with relevant registration
  • Experience within social care or community-based settings
  • Strong assessment, care planning, and case management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Proactive and solution-focused approach
